There are a number of factors to consider around data use when using an eSIM. Typically, general habits including email, standard web browsing and social media can be considered quite light use. Below are several items to consider to ensure that your data goes as far as it can. Video Streaming- We recommend using a lower definition when watching streaming platforms as this will consume data at a slower rate. The majority of online streaming services will allow you to change the definition/quality of the image to a lower setting. Standard Definition (SD), for example, which is considered to be 480p, or some other equivalent. Background Data Usage- To further reduce usage, consider the other background services working on your device. Operating system updates for devices can use large chunks of data without you knowing, so we recommend disabling automatic updates before using your mobile data. Low Data Mode- We also recommend going into your settings and enabling "Low Data Mode" to help to reduce mobile data usage by pausing automatic updates and background tasks. To do this on iPhone: • Go into Settings > Mobile Data > Click on the eSIM > Data Mode > Low Data Mode. • To do this on Android: • Go into Settings > System apps updater > Click the 3 dots in top right corner > Settings > Auto updates > Set to Don't update.

The number of eSIM profiles that can be stored at once depends on the device's hardware and software limitations. Generally, devices can store multiple eSIM profiles simultaneously, typically ranging from 2 to 10 profiles, however only one can be used at a time. The exact number of profiles supported may vary depending on the device's specifications and the eSIM platform used.

If an eSIM-enabled phone has a physical SIM card in it that is being used for voice and SMS services, adding an eSIM data plan from a separate operator will not necessarily affect the existing voice and SMS services. However, it is possible that the phone's network settings may need to be adjusted to ensure that both the physical SIM and eSIM are able to function properly. In general, most modern smartphones support dual-SIM functionality, which allows users to have two separate SIM cards active at the same time. With dual-SIM support, users can use one SIM card for voice and SMS services, while using the other SIM card for data services. If you add an eSIM data plan from a separate operator, you will be able to use the eSIM for data services while still using the physical SIM for voice and SMS services. However, you may need to adjust the network settings on your phone to ensure that both the physical SIM and eSIM are able to function properly. It's important to note that the specific steps for configuring dual-SIM settings may vary depending on your device and mobile network provider, so you should always refer to the instructions provided by your provider for guidance.

Not necessarily. While it's possible to have multiple eSIM profiles on a single device, each profile does not necessarily have to be associated with a different phone number. For example, you may have one eSIM profile for your personal use and another eSIM profile for your work use, but both profiles can use the same phone number. In this case, the eSIM profiles would be differentiated by their respective data plans, network settings, and other associated information, but the phone number would remain the same. However, it is also possible to have multiple eSIM profiles on a single device that are associated with different phone numbers. This may be useful, for example, if you frequently travel between different countries or regions and need to have access to local phone numbers. Overall, the number of phone numbers associated with your eSIM profiles will depend on your specific needs and use case. Having multiple eSIM profiles does not necessarily require having multiple phone numbers, but it can be a useful option in certain situations.

Switching between multiple SIM profiles on a device that supports eSIM technology is typically very easy and can be done quickly with just a few taps on your device's screen. Once you have set up multiple eSIM profiles on your device, you can switch between them by navigating to the device's settings menu and selecting the eSIM profile you want to activate. The specific steps to switch between eSIM profiles may vary depending on your device and operating system, but in general, the process is straightforward and intuitive. Overall, switching between multiple eSIM profiles is generally easy and seamless, and it can be done quickly and easily on most devices that support eSIM technology.

You can continue using the same eSIM if: • You’re in a country supported by the eSIM • The eSIM is installed • You buy a data top-up package or a top-up pack If you see no options to add a top-up plan, then that eSIM is a single-use eSIM. You don’t have to delete the eSIM if you intend to use it at a later date, you can just turn it off under cellular/mobile data plans.

No, it is not possible to install one eSIM on several devices simultaneously. An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM that is embedded in a device and can be programmed with a mobile network's information. When you activate an eSIM on a device, the mobile network provider will register the e-SIMs unique identification number (EID) with the device's manufacturer. The EID is a unique identifier that can't be duplicated or shared across multiple devices. Therefore, you can only use an eSIM on one device at a time. If you want to use the same eSIM on a different device, you would need to deactivate it on the first device and then activate it on the new device.

You can delete an eSIM from your device at any time, but the specific steps to do so may vary depending on your device and operating system. Before deleting an eSIM, it's important to understand that doing so will deactivate your cellular service/mobile data on that device. If you want to continue using your device for cellular service, you will need to insert a physical SIM card or activate a new eSIM. Here are some general steps to remove an eSIM: • Open the settings app on your device • Look for the "Cellular" or "Mobile Data" option and select it • Find the eSIM you want to remove and select it • Look for the option to remove or delete the eSIM, and follow the prompts to complete the process. Note that some devices may require a factory reset to remove an eSIM, which will erase all data and settings on the device. It's also important to note that once you remove an eSIM, you may not be able to reactivate it on the same device or transfer it to another device. This will depend on the policies of your mobile network provider and the specific eSIM plan you have signed up for.

For prepaid eSIM plans, the data you have purchased is typically valid for a certain period of time, such as a month or a week, and will expire at the end of that period. If you do not use all of your data within that period, any unused data will be forfeited and you will need to purchase a new plan to continue using the eSIM.

Here are some tips on how to save and use less data: Monitor your data usage: Check your phone's settings to see how much data you are using and which apps are consuming the most data. You can also set data usage alerts or limits to help you stay within your data plan. Connect to Wi-Fi: Where possible, connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network to avoid using your mobile data. This can be particularly useful when streaming video or downloading large files. Limit background data usage: Some apps use data in the background, even when you are not actively using them. To limit this usage, you can disable background data for specific apps or set your phone to limit background data usage in general. Disable auto-play videos: Videos that auto-play when you scroll through social media apps like Facebook and Instagram can consume a significant amount of data. You can disable auto-play videos in these apps to save data. Compress data: Some apps and browsers offer data compression features that can reduce the amount of data used. For example, Google Chrome has a data saver feature that can reduce data usage by up to 50%. Download content for offline use: Some apps, such as Netflix and Spotify, allow you to download content for offline use. This can be a useful way to save data when you are traveling or in areas with limited internet connectivity.
